About Kingston
Kingston goes back further than almost anywhere we build. King William III granted a royal charter establishing the town of Kingstown in 1694, and the town center still carries a considerable number of eighteenth and nineteenth century structures around one of the finest greens in the state.
The town covers 21 square miles with 6,202 residents at the 2020 census. Great Pond sits in the western section and Kingston State Park offers swimming and recreation right inside the town boundary.
Two quite different building situations exist side by side here. Around the green and the older streets, houses are genuinely historic and a garage needs handling with real care.
